Domino is a small game piece that can be stacked on end to create long lines. When one domino is tipped over, it causes the next domino in line to tip over as well. This continues in a chain reaction until all of the dominoes have fallen. Dominoes can also be used to play games of chance or as a tool to help students learn about mathematical patterns. In addition, Dominoes are often used as a way to promote teamwork and communication among children.
The first dominoes were crafted from materials like bone, silver lip ocean pearl oyster shell (mother of pearl), and ivory with black or white pips. Over time, sets were made from more durable materials, including marble, granite, and soapstone. Sets were also made from metals, such as brass and pewter, ceramic clay, or frosted glass. These newer dominoes are more durable, and the pips can be painted in many different colors. However, they still have the same basic design as the traditional wooden dominoes.
Domino has a talent for luck that she can control, although it is largely subconscious and participatory. When Domino is in a stressful situation, she can activate this gift to improve her chances of survival. She can even use it to improve her chances of winning a game of chance. This ability is most effective when she is in a position where her life is at risk. For example, she can use it to fend off a robber or save her teammates from a bomb threat.
After her career as a mercenary, Domino joined the Six Pack and was an ally of the time-traveling mutant Cable. She fought alongside the X-Men, worked for a Hong Kong branch of X-Corporation, and aided the mutants on Providence. Later, Domino was hired by G. W. Bridge to be part of a new task force, which included the members of Six Pack and Siryn, to prevent S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Danielle Moonstar from being exposed during Operation: Zero Tolerance. Domino and the other members of X-Corporation posed as a camera crew to infiltrate a facility they believed to be conducting anti-mutant research. Domino was captured by a Prime Sentinel named Ekaterina Gryaznova and implanted with a neural blocker that interferes with her synaptic relays, shorting out her powers and coordination.
Domino was eventually revived by alien technology grafts, and she was rehired by Bridge to assist X-Force in monitoring mutant rights violations. She and the team uncovered the truth behind John Sublime’s Third Species movement, which had been harvesting mutant body parts to create synthetic humans. They were attacked by the emotion-manipulating Psycho-Man, who forced Domino to attack Copycat and resent her for exposing him to his henchmen. Fortunately, Domino was snatched from her timeline by Halloween Jack, who returned her to normal. She rejoined X-Force and helped them take down a cyborg assassin called Corben, who was trying to manipulate the world’s mutations into a techno-organic engine.
